Funeral sermon at the death of Oliver Ellsworth, Jr., 1805.

Oliver Ellsworth of Windsor, Connecticut, was a tutor at Yale, where he also earned a Master's degree in 1802. He died at a young age, in 1805. The unnamed minister who composed this sermon chose to discuss why the "rich and noble" were more likely to be wicked--because they focused on ambition, and not God. The text was copied by Phebe Ellsworth.
